In addition to the beautifully made models, there are also maps of Amsterdam before, during and after the Second World War. Hüsnü Yegenoglu (architect and ass.prof in Eindhoven) told me how long he spent with his students to think about how diverse information could be combined into one card.
One of the pre-war maps shows for example where in the city the rich and poor Jews lived. Very insightful is the card that not only shows the locations, but also gives insight in the volume of these memorial places. Clearly the youngest monuments have become smaller and more commonly refer to a personal history , such as the Jewish people in Amsterdam who lived on the Nieuwe Keizersgracht.
