The paper chair

The chair is designed with the basic thought to create a place where you can withdraw yourself from the daily grind. The chair has to be a place where people can shut down from what’s happening around them, because of the fact that the chair only has one opening (at the front). This creates a place where people can relax and enjoy a nice book or the newspaper. In the back of the chair is a hidden closet, where people can put books and newspapers.

Analysing a building block that is located on the ring of Cologne. The design of the city of Cologne was created by Hermann-Josef Stübben.

The Bus swing

The bus swing is a design of a bus stop. But childeren can also use the bus stop as a swing. People can sit on the swing while they are waiting for their bus. The bus swing is build out of three concrete "columns" with semi-tranparent concrete between these columns. 

 

The sky is the limit

The sky is the limit, is a building where you can do extreme sports, like climbing , ice climbing, zip wire etc. 

The straight tower has all the facility spaces like changing rooms, and a restaurant in it. The tower with the rock shaped top has all the extreme sports in it. The users of the building can also climb on the outside. It is even possible to climb all over the building
 

 

De ijzeren man

This assignment is about horse breeding: De ijzeren man. The idea is to create a new restaurant and some new stables in front of the excisting building. The new building has a perfect view over the grasfield on the opposite side of the road. 

 

 

the outside on the inside

Creating a new university in Harderwijk. In this design I tried to get some open outside spaces in a closed auditorium. The halls are lift from the ground so there is an open space under the building were people can sit during their break.
